Repointing of dressed limestone masonry to a historic bay window.

The dressed limestone surrounding this striking bay window had developed open and deteriorated joints, leaving the masonry increasingly exposed to water. The failed jointing was carefully raked out to a suitable depth, taking care not to damage the crisp edges or tooling of the original stone.

The masonry was then repointed to close the open joints and restore effective weather protection. Careful attention was given to the mortar finish and joint profile, ensuring the repairs sit quietly within the existing stonework while allowing the architectural detail of the bay window to remain the focus.
